A True Story About The Knott's Original Berry Stand
 
 In the early 1900s the innkeeper's paternal grandparents
  Mr. and Mrs. William Musser came by covered wagon from
 Kansas and settled in southern California where they had a dairy.
  A few miles down the road lived Mr. and Mrs. Walter Knott who
 were vegetable farmers. In the summer Cordelia Knott would
  set up a road side fruit, berry and vegetable stand. Every week
 Elizabeth Musser hitched up a team of horses to their wagon and rode down to the Knott's road side stand. She would  trade butter
and cottage cheese she churned by hand for some of the Knott's
fruits and berries. Continuing in our family tradition, we proudly
use only Knott's jams and preserves.

the chef/owner has passed the mandatory national Serv-Safe Food test
