These pictures were taken
Monday, December 7, 2009. Snow is a big deal because the elevation
here is only 1,800 feet.
Each room at the inn has its own climate control so you never need to
worry about drafts and being cold!

Hello Everyone!
Well, the hot weather has hit us in Sonora! It's soooo hot
that I don't really believe that we had snow this past winter.
But look at those pictures above and I guess we actually did!
Of course, the inn has EXCELLENT air-conditioning and heating — most
of our guests have never before seen the split-mini systems that we
have here at Bradford Place. Well, let me tell you, the
technology is one heck of an invention!
Kody has been in and out of the hospital for the past month.
This time, it is his eyes. Now let me tell you, I have known
for quite some time that Kody was not all here, if you know what I
mean, that he was missing some of his parts. Well, Dr. Bennett
(our physician) discovered in examining Kody a thing or two. Kody is
missing some of his tear ducts, and it causes him to get eye
irritations. Also, he had two teeth pulled. Mom's says they
are his upper wisdom teeth! And there went his brains along with his
wisdom teeth. As for me, I have bouts with my skin
allergies but I am managing fairly well this summer. I have a
type of OCD — that's what Mom calls it — Obsessive Compulsive
Disorder, or something like that. I get to preening and I
cannot stop! So I take LaxAide for hair ball build up.
But hey, I figure that I want to look really clean and sharp for the
guests. So what harm is a little extra preening?
Ironstone Winery is
about half way through their summer concert series. This year
started off with
Crosby Stills and Nash. We had some guests at the inn who took
in the concert. They had never been to Ironstone Winery
before. Well, guess what? They were blown away! (Ask me
if I am surprised?)
We are getting alot of compliments on the yard since Mommy fired
Daddy who was trying to do the yard. We got some professional
gardeners on board now, and the place is so green it nearly hurts
your eyes. Me and Kody willy love to play in the yard.
That's where we hang out all day long. Oh, speaking of Kody
(my step brother) -- You know he is really fluffy but not any
more! Mommy took the pet shears to his fur and whacked nearly
all of it off. He gets too hot if she doesn't whack it off,
and then he gets willy willy sick and then he has to go to the
hospital. And Kody hates going to the hospital. P.S.
Mommy still likes Daddy, it's just that he wasn't doing a very good
job with the yard. Put another way, his yard care skill level
wasn't meeting my mom's expectations.

The Bradford Room is shown left
Yes, when you stay at Bradford Place you can have breakfast delivered to your
room, in any of our rooms, not just in the Bradford room. It's just one of the little things that we do here to make
you feel special. Of course, the other little
things at the inn can take many shapes and forms, such as us two outdoor
kitties — Josh and Kody. I am Josh and I am solid gray. Kody
is my step brother and he is mostly white with a little gray here and
there. Kody thinks he is better than me 'cause he is made up
mostly of Turkish Van cat. And for the record, we are not
allowed to run around inside the inn — actually, that's a no-no!
Well, it won't do you any good to dream about The Mother Lode this
time of year. You simply must experience it! Why don't
you give us a call at Bradford Place and get yourself some
reservations so you won't be disappointed. We don't want you to
call at the last minute
only to hear that we are sold out. The phone number to
BRADFORD PLACE is 1-800-209-2315.
We'll be waiting for you!

See you soon!
Wuv, Josh
P.S. In case you hadn't noticed, I am a distinguished looking
outdoor cat! And very clean!
