Celebrating
A Decade of Exceptional Service
I
want to personally invite you to experience first hand some of the
finest hospitality in the bed and breakfast industry including
custom personalized breakfast service and lovely rooms with the absolute
ultimate in private climate control.
We've created this haven especially for you, and it's right here at Bradford
Place in cute historic downtown Sonora. So come be our guest! In 2010 we'll be celebrating a decade of delivering exceptional
service.
Dottie Musser, Owner
Bradford Place is lower center in image
Close
to Yosemite National Park, Bradford Place in historic downtown
Sonora, California was built in 1889 as a residence. Today it
is a very small inn offering the warmth of a bed and breakfast and
the privacy of a hotel with accommodations that vary from cozy and
intimate to gracious and luxurious.
It's
a casual atmosphere, nothing stiff or pretentious. But the
little jewel has the flair one would expect of a lovely small
property, very well cared for — white
market umbrellas, a winding stone pathway and gardens with lots of
white picket fences yet only one short block off the town's main
street. The inn itself has thick almost sound tight walls and offers nearly every imaginable amenity
including
wireless internet access. And each room has the absolute ultimate in temperature control,
each with
its very own private ductless climate control system
that is highly
efficient
and
eco-friendly, yet virtually
unobtrusive. And you can have room service for breakfast until 11 A.M. at no additional cost. In essence, comfort and
attention without intrusion.
Since
opening in 2000 this lodging showpiece located 130 miles east of San
Francisco has become known as the place to stay in California's
central Sierra foothills for discerning business and leisure
guests. In
recent years fitness icon Jack LaLanne and his wife Elaine have
stayed here. A
couple
of times
the
inn has
hosted
the legendary Hollywood actress and
Broadway
star
Miss
Carol
Channing
and
her
husband Harry Kullijian.
And we have cooked
breakfast for gospel artist TaTa Vega who worked with Quincy Jones
on four featured vocals in The Color Purple.
Given
the limited
number
of
rooms
at Bradford Place,
the inn's
considerable
appeal
and its
ideal location in
cute downtown Sonora,
advance reservations are suggested. So give us a call and
book a night or two — we'd love to add your name to our
guest list!

Now Featuring
Ghirardelli Gourmet Double Chocolate
Premium Hot Cocoa
Whether
you are an early riser or someone who prefers sleep over food, you've
found the right place. The inn has a
breakfast
menu
just for lodging guests where you may order such Mother Lode entrees as
the Gold Miner's Stuffed Potato shown right. Breakfast may be
delivered to your room from 6:30 to 11:00 each morning at no
extra cost. Dottie Musser, inn owner, the decorator supreme and
breakfast chef demonstrates her creativity and consideration for
individual tastes and dietary needs, a
testament to
her graduate work in
dietetics and to her experience as a Santa Barbara bed and breakfast
innkeeper.
Bradford
Place is in an ideal location smack dab in the middle of historic
downtown Sonora "Queen Of The Southern Mines" (population 4,610) and it
is right next door to the county offices and the impressive court house,
circa 1898. Its lovely restored neighborhood
(scroll all the way down for image) is one block
west of the domed building with overhanging bay windows
(again, scroll down for image) on
Sonora's popular main street (CA Highway 49) which is lined with
antique stores, art galleries and wonderful dining. In the
central Sierra foothills and in the heart of California's gold
country, Sonora is close to the gold rush villages of Columbia and
Jamestown, twenty minutes or so to the wineries, caverns and
shops at Murphys, and just an hour to the grandeur of Yosemite National
Park.
You
are invited to relax in Gold Rush Splendor and stay awhile, set your own pace and take in the
fresh air. Maybe do a little winery touring, cavern exploring or what
have you. There's absolutely no need to rush because this is California dreamin'. And check out isn't til noon!
